Toshiba will start selling its new portable and stylish 10.1-inch mini notebook NB200 this Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009 in the US. The successor of the popular NB100 features truly modern design, USB Sleep-and-Charge ports that power your gadgets even when the PC is off, a Hard Drive Impact Sensor to help safeguard your data from sudden movement or drops, and international limited warranty coverage so you won’t have to worry when taking it on the road.

The NB200 has been available in Europe, Great Britain and Canada for a couple of weeks now and gets lots of praise from reviewers for its excellent build quality, design and battery life. In Europe, the new netbook is available in at least two versions. There’s a cheaper, plastic version with wider keys and an Intel Atom N270 CPU. And there’s a nicer, metallic model with a N280 processor and chiclet-style keyboard, and combined with the metallic silver, reminds us of the Sony Vaio P. For storage, there’s a 160 Gb 5400 rpm HDD. There’s no SSD option. Toshiba intends to offer 3G in August after the internal 3G HSDPA modem has undergone carrier certification. Overall, the Toshiba NB200 is a beauty of a netbook. The build quality is really high and it looks fantastic.

UK: £307.94 ($506.13)/ £339.99 ($558.81)
Germany: €380,98 ($530.78) / €490,95 ($683.99)
Canada: C$419.00 ($371.64) / C$469.00 ($415.99)

No words on exact US prices yet.
